In the framework of the Serbian Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Culture of South East Europe, Ministry of Culture, Information and Information Society of the Republic of Serbia hosted the Annual Council of Ministers of Culture of South East Europe on 20 April 2012 in the new building of Yugoslav Cinematheque in Belgrade.
Ministers and Deputy Ministers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey, as well as the Republic of Moldova who joined this family on this occasion, participated in this event as well as observers from Austria, UNESCO Venice Office, Council of Europe, Regional Cooperation Council, and EU Delegation in Belgrade.
Тhe priorities of the Serbian Presidency of the CoMoCoSEE focused on audiovisual policy measures as a response to the global economic crisis and the audiovisual field considering its richness and diversity in South East Europe as an integral part of the European values.
The Declaration was adopted at the end of the meeting, and Minister of Culture, Information and Information Society of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Predrag Marković, handed over the presidency of the Council to Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Republic of Slovenia Mr. Žiga Turk.
